A few Dubuque blogs, alphabetized and annotated:
Creative Dubuque
Compelling writing by Pamela, a Dubuquer going through separation and divorce. Unfortunately, Pamela’s previous domain, creativedubuque.com, is down due to “legal hassles,” but her photos are still available at flickr, and it looks like she’s writing again at her new blog. I hope so.
infinitepink musings
Christine Thurow, professional artist and maker of exquisite, handcrafted jewelry. “My humor is sarcastic, my wit dry and my appetite for unbridled hedonism, ravenous . . . .”
Kibbles Bits
Ann Marie Hughes, stay-at-home mom, nursing student, Quaker, born and raised in New York, says “Dubuque NOW is everything I loved about Brooklyn YEARS ago.” Photos on flickr. Excellent writer!
NewsConference
Dubuquer Brian Cooper, journalist, baseball historian, proud grandfather. Brian is editor of the Dubuque Telegraph Herald and author of Red Faber: A Biography of the Hall of Fame Spitball Pitcher, which is on my shortlist of books to read.
route1
By Telegraph Herald reporter Erik Hogstrom, Dubuque’s most prolific and eclectic blogger. Topics include punk, rock, funk, jazz, hip hop, reggae, and most other musical genres, as well as classic Japanese films, hardboiled pulp fiction, UK football and Australian cricket. The best posts, though, include Erik’s views on work, family, travel, and life in Dubuque.
Stranger in a Strange Land
Nick Klenske’s blog started off being about his experiences in Dubuque after returning to town from a long absence. Naturally this theme devolved into strange copywriting satire. My favorite, Zits: “Think back on all the pain you put your face through . . . .”
W. 11th & Bluff
Official blog of the Adult Services Department at Carnegie-Stout Public Library, Dubuque. Not half bad, if I do say so myself!

Michael! Thanks for linking to me… I’ve been wanting to connect with other Dubuque bloggers for a long time, but wasn’t sure how to go about it. I’ve added all of the sites you’ve listed to my blogroll now (I plan on making one specifically for us DBQers) and look for forward to getting to know everyone.
Thanks again. Stop by anytime, ok? :)

Mike. Thanks to Route1 and NewsConference (two blogs I check into every so often) I was clued to your blog. I likewise, am a Dubuque blogger.
I am a two-time transplant from the Phoenix area to the Tri-States and love it here. The people, history and even the climate make Dubuque tops in my book.

I’ll add a site that we’ve been working on (but is in its infancy), MovingToDubuque.com, which is a site designed to help people relocating to the Dubuque area. We’re a little short on content right now, but good things are coming soon.
